Saying Goodbye to 2010

in My Ramblings

Saying Goodbye to 2010 I can’t believe 2010 has come and gone.  Wow, it just seems like yesterday that I was ringing in this year!  Now 2011 has snuck up on me.  Am I the only one who feels like time just keeps flying by?

As I sit here and write this post, I have been thinking back on all the wonderful things that this year has brought.  I started off this past January by attending the “More Heart Than Talent” conference in Dallas that is put on by Jeffery Combs and his lovely wife Erica.  I thoroughly enjoyed the conference and was able to connect with a lot of my Facebook friends as well.  Now that was fun!

As the year progressed, I continued on my journey of learning what I needed to know that would help me with moving my business forward.  What ended up happening is that I took a completely different direction.

I started in the online industry being introduced to network marketing but I soon found that it wasn’t my true passion.  I had been doing affiliate marketing on the side because I was taught that the people you come in contact with will need certain services and products so why not have them purchase those through you since they already know, like and trust you.  So that’s what I did but I ended up making more money doing that than with my network marketing business.  Hence, the direction change.

I changed my static website to this blog and started helping others learn not only affiliate marketing, but traffic generation and social media marketing.  All of those areas are important to your online success no matter which direction you are headed.

While on this journey I now have my own product that can help others learn how the right marketing system can help them learn and improve their own business.  I also have been working diligently on my training site so that too can benefit people who are eager and willing to learn like I did when I first came online.

Yes, this year has been very productive and I continued to learn so much along the way.  But it doesn’t stop there because my journey never ends.  This industry will continue to change and grow so if you don’t keep up with what’s right in front of you, you’ll definitely be left behind.  I don’t intend for that to happen to me.

So that’s about how my year has been.  I am truly blessed that God has allowed me to wake up each new day so that I can stay on this journey of building my business and helping others along the way.

Would love to hear how your 2010 has been and what you are looking forward to with as this new year approaches.

Happy New Year everyone!!!
