Hope you enjoyed the previous posts on the most common mistakes made by newcomers. There are just a couple more to go.

Mistake #6
Afraid to Face the Learning Curve

Here is the bottom line guys…. You are jumping into unknown territory, therefore, you will require new skills. With any new venture that you have never been a part of before, there will be a learning curve. Take for instance you decide to become a lawyer. What do you need to do in order to succeed in this profession? You have to go to school and get the right skills. The online industry is no different. In order to learn how to achieve anything in life, you have to learn the correct skills that will take you to where you need to be.

Here is the difference between the people who will succeed and the people who won’t. Let’s take the example of being a lawyer. You go to school, you acquire the skills, you get a job and you start practicing. You don’t make the kind of money you had hoped within the timeframe you set for yourself. What do you do? Quit and decide to try your hand at something else? I don’t think so.

The online industry is the same way. There is going to be a learning curve, there is going to be some things that don’t work but you don’t throw your hands up and give up. You keep trying and tweaking your marketing until you find what does work. There are NO overnight successes in this industry. The people that claim that are people who have been here awhile and already have a list. That list just following them to yet another opportunity which is why they can make the claim of $10,000 in their first week. It’s not the norm.

Think about all the people you have read about that joined this industry and two years later were making more money in a week then they had a year in their day job. Those people had the same learning curve everyone does. The difference between them and you is that they didn’t give up. They learned as they went along and believed in themselves enough to know they could accomplish anything they put their mind to.

Everyone starts out with a learning curve so just plug on through and don’t give up.

Okay, next week I will wrap this up and share with you the last mistake made by newcomers. So, see you then…
