I hope you’ve found some useful information in my previous posts on how to get free traffic to your website. In today’s post I’m going to share with you another method you can use.
Method #6 is using Buzz Marketing:
So far I’ve given you a few different ways you can generate free traffic to your site. Although these methods do work, it does take time to establish a presence. It’s great to just enter a conversation and start sharing with others but it might take awhile before people take notice. The way to get around that is by creating a buzz.
Buzz marketing is all about getting people excited and interested in your website and/or your offer. It’s about giving people something interesting to talk about and then letting other people in on the scoop. You’ve heard of word of mouth right! It’s the same exact thing but it takes place online.
There are a couple different ways you can create buzz around your website and/or offer. One way is by writing a press release and the other is by generating free publicity.
A press release is basically just an article written in a professional fashion. There is a right way and a wrong way to write a press release. You can’t just take your article and rewrite it either. That’s probably why a lot of people don’t have much luck with press releases.
There is a lot to writing a press release correctly so I have provided you with a really great resource that will explain exactly what’s involved.
The other way is by getting free publicity. I must admit I didn’t know too much about this until recently. I thought free publicity was what I had been doing but you can actually have your information picked up by journalists, PR people and reporters that are looking for sources. You can connect with these types of resources through a free service such as “Help a Reporter Out” or you can pay for this service through “PR Leads“. Either way, it’s a great way to get your information spread out in other arenas.
I have one more post to share with you about how to get free traffic to your site so stay tuned.

Thanks for the link Adrienne. I’ve tried Press release sites before and most of my articles were rejected. Maybe i did it wrong. They said its a great way to increase your site traffic. I’m now reading the post you referred and i think i’ll get it this time. Cheers!
