How to Get Free Traffic to Your Website: Method #2

in OT Traffic Generation

I hope that you found some useful information in my previous post. As I mentioned in my recent post, everyone want free traffic to their website. In this post I’m going to share with you the second method I use.

Method #2 is Video Marketing:

Video marketing is very popular so if you haven’t tapped into video marketing yet, it’s time to get started. There are a few ways you can go about this.

First off, in the very beginning most people are just not comfortable in front of a camera. I know I wasn’t and it seemed to take me forever before I finally reached that point. But as my mentor told me, you don’t have to get it right, you just have to get it going.

You can invest as little as $30 and purchase a webcam. Just sit at your desk and shoot your videos. Or you can invest a little more money and upgrade to a camcorder. I purchased a Flip Camcorder for under $200 and just love it. It’s compact, easy and you plug it directly into the back of your computer and download your videos straight to your computer.

The second way you can make videos is by just taking the information you wrote in one of your articles and make it into a PowerPoint presentation. You can do this my pasting your article into a text editor like Notepad. Separate each sentence with a hard return. Save that file as a text file then import that into PowerPoint. (Again, you can use Open Office if you don’t have Microsoft PowerPoint.) Be sure to align your sentences in the center of your slide. You can do this by selecting “Title Slide Layout”. Record your slideshow with a screen capture software. Jing is a free service but you can only record up to five minutes. Camtasia is a paid software but you can always use their free 30 trial offer to try it out.

That is a simple and easy way to get started until you are feeling more comfortable in front of the camera. Like I mentioned before, video marketing is huge and millions of people are searching for video content on a daily basis. There is no time like the present to get started.

Hope this information helped so look for my third method next week. See you then and good luck!

Very informative Adrienne. I prefer videos in front of a camera. In this way, your viewers would have the feeling that what your saying is accurate and that your really an expert. Nowadays, it’s not necessary to buy a Camcorder because there are affordable webcams that capture great quality. Thanks!

I enjoy teaching others things I have learned online so doing a capture screen video is a great way to go, you are right about that. Plus they do have free software you can use, may not be as high quality as the others but they do work great.

You are also right about not necessarily needing a camcorder. Personally I’ve been through four webcams and the quality is still awful so I don’t even use them anymore. I bought a Flip Camcorder for my videos and it’s inexpensive and really great quality. So that’s something to consider as well without going into any huge expense.

Thanks for your comment Bob, always appreciate your input.

I prefer watching instructional videos if I need to learn something. I have a video on my website but I let someone made it for me. Really find your blog helpful. From article to video marketing. What’s next? :) Going to check your series whenever I have time.

Best regards,
Lisa

Hi Lisa,

I prefer videos too that will walk me through what I need to do. I’m more of a visual person when I need to learn something. Of course if there isn’t really anything to show then the written form is just as good.

Hope you find these posts helpful! :-)
