How To Earn Money From Your Blog

How To Earn Money From Your BlogWho doesn’t want to know how to earn money from your blog?  Okay, I know there are a few of you that are here strictly for pleasure but the majority of us are here for that reason.

While some of you may continue to struggle with how to get the formula down just right there are plenty of people who have set their blogs up and are generating income within their first month.  I just happened to run into one of them while I was making my rounds blog commenting a couple of weeks ago.

I read a post over at Lye Kuek Hin’s blog titled, “BlogDesignGuy – A Blog That Teaches You How To Leverage Your Design“.  After reading that post I must admit, I was intrigued.  I made it a point to stop by his site because I wanted to learn more.

The owner of BlogDesignGuy is J.D. Bentley.  His title speaks for itself but I quickly learned that he has been designing websites for the past 10 years and found that the majority of his clients just happen to be bloggers.

As soon as I got to his blog I found a post title that really caught my eye, “How to Earn $1981.67 in Your First Month of Blogging“.  I know, I know, I’ve read plenty of these types of posts myself making all these claims but let me share with you what I found different about J.D.

After reading his post I could tell this young man knows his stuff.  Because he does have a design background and has worked mostly with bloggers he has learned how to properly set up a profitable blog.  What he is offering is to teach you what he knows, for free.

He put together a 7 day course and I signed up for it.  I was very impressed with what he had to share.  He even gives you worksheets and expects you to do your homework.  This is no laughing matter to him.

Now this is only for those who are really serious in wanting to really know how you can set your blog up so that you can start making some income.  Even if you already have one set up, he still can show you some things that will help if perhaps you aren’t where you thought you would be with it.

I can’t speak for everyone else but I will say that I thought it was an excellent course.  I was really surprised but thrilled that he’s giving this information away for free.

I think most of you know me pretty well and you know that I don’t recommend a lot of things over here at my place.  Wish I did but I will admit, there isn’t a whole heck of a lot of stuff out there that really impresses me.  I know, it’s kind of sad actually.  But J.D.’s course definitely impressed me which is why I wanted to share it with you.  And I have never interacted with him before can you believe that!  That’s right, I’ve never met the guy.

So if this is something that you think may be of help to you, by all means take advantage of what this young man is sharing.  Seriously, you can really learn some things from him.  Just head over to his blog and sign up to receive his free 7 day course.  I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Okay, that’s all I’ve got for ya.  Didn’t want to keep this all to myself once I came across some really good info.  Sure hope you find this helpful.

Thanks for stopping by and I always enjoy hearing your thoughts so let me have it.  Can you use some of his expertise?  If not, maybe you can teach the rest of us how to start making some serious money with our blogs.  I’m all ears!  :-)

If you enjoyed this post, please share it with your friends!

Hey J.D.,

Excellent job my friend, excellent. I was so impressed with how you put this together and broke everything down. This will really come in handy for those just starting out but also for those still struggling to get a better understanding of everything that needs to be in place. I appreciate you taking the time to put that together and I hope my readers will benefit from it as much as I did.

Thanks again,

Hi Adrienne,

First of all, thank you so much for the mention. I am already a subscriber of JD’s blog before he rolled out his “7 days course”.

It’s very practical and no hype about making fast cash. There is some serious work to do if you want to make money online.

I have to say i am very impressed with his writing too. Great to see you recommending his blog to your readers and JD deserved it. His attitude towards successful blogging is probably some of us lacking of.

Thanks for sharing my friend.

Hey Lye,

I specifically wanted to thank you for turning me onto J.D.’s information. I think some of us can use some help with either the direction we are taking our blog or how it’s setup overall. His site is wonderful so when I happened to visit your blog that day and see that particular post, I went over and checked his out as well. Awesome information so I have you to thank for that. Just wanted you to know.

Thanks Lye and I’ll see you over at your place soon.

Hi Adrienne,
I went to Lye’s site, I’ve been there several times before today though. And I went to J.D.’s site and signed up for his free e-course. I also asked him a question on FaceBook about tweaking my theme.

I agree that J.D. seems to have something going on over there.

I will have to check my e-mail to see if his course is there yet. I am looking forward to reading what he has to say.

Always a pleasure to fund about quality learning material and especially when it’s freely shared.

I am one who always believes you can always learn something more so will definitely act on your recommendation and share this post with my followers too.

I already recommend some paid options for learning blogging but I’d like to have some free options to recommend for those who don’t have a budget for more learning right now too.

I totally agree with you Marcus and of course we all know getting this started is never 100% free. But J.D.’s course is a great plan to follow for those especially starting out and then more indepth information is usually needed as well. It’s a great start though and hope your readers will find it helpful. I do love sharing great information and especially if it’s free.

That’s funny Linda because several of the blog posts that I read this week were on this same topic too! I thought that was kind of funny. Similar in nature although different. J.D.’s course is a 7 day one so writing about the entire course in one post would be way too long. Plus he gives you homework so I think everyone needs to experience this one themselves.

Write away, I can’t wait to read what you’ll be sharing too! I’m excited.

That is why most of the people want to work online because they want to earn money. They are using Google Adsense or Squidoo so that they can get a profit. This is just normal. If they could not find a better job in their town, this is usually what they are doing especially if you have good action plan or strategy, you will be successful in reaching your goal.

This is true, most people are going this route but the payout is so low that it’s going to take a long time to see any type of substantial income. Which is why they need to consider other options. That’s what J.D. goes over in his course and shares with you how to accomplish this. Pretty good stuff.

Thanks for your comment, I appreciate it! Have a wonderful day!

It’s interesting you were able to find a good one. I’m sure there are many good ones out there but it’s way beyond too many so it’s hard to find the gems.

I might have to check it out. My wife who has been a stay at home mom really has limited marketable skills if she wanted to go out and get a job. What she is really good at is interior design type stuff. I broached the subject of trying to do something online with it and she seemed interested. I don’t know what yet, but you have to start somewhere, huh?

Thanks for sharing and hope your weekend is going well.

As for monetizing, I have a few aff links and adsense code for people visiting from search engine. I would be soon finishing a book as well on entrepreneurship. Let us see how it goes from there.

We can always make more, can’t we? Blogging and design is his game so putting those together and helping us improve our blogs is a win/win in my book. Oh, and for free too! Doesn’t get much better than that girl.

Thanks, appreciate it! :-)

Hi Adrienne! I tried to leave a comment a few minutes ago, but it didn’t work. So I have already read his blog post and signed up for the 7-day course. Sounds like information I need. Thanks for sharing it with us!

Hey Jeanine,

Well, I think it went through but thanks for trying it again. I apologize for the inconvenience. But I appreciate the extra comment. Enjoy the course and do let me know what you think. I’d love to get some feedback from my readers. Don’t want to recommend things the majority didn’t care for.

Sounds like a great course … since there are on average of about 78,000+ blogs started daily.
Thanks for sharing.

Hey Adrienne,

I just say that the title of your post really pulled me in. Great job on the headline! And I wasn’t disappointed. You gave me a great reference to check out about blog design and monetization of a blog.

What makes this particularly timely for me is that I recently had our blog reviewed by Chris Brogan, and he thought that the only thing holding us back from taking it to the next level was our blog design.

So now I am definitely off to sign up for the 7 day free course!

Thanks a ton, Adrienne!

I’m with you Bob. I’ll be revamping mine in the near future as well plus I’ll be creating my own product so his course really pulled me in as well. Plus, he’s got some great tips. Looks like we are both on the same page. Best of luck to you and can’t wait to hear what you thought about his course. The more I hear about him, the more I like.

Thanks for your comment and best of luck!

Hi Adrienne -

I am just like you. I do write my blog a bit for fun but mostly to earn a little bit of extra money on the side blogging. Who doesn’t want to make some money online? It is fun and a good challenge.

I’ll definitely have to check out this course and see if it’s a good one. I recently just bought SiteProfitDomination from Michael Dunlop over at incomediary.com and am currently going through that one. So far it’s given me some good pointers to test on my blog.

Maybe this one will be good too.

Thanks for sharing.

Hi Michael,

I’m mostly here for sharing helpful information and building relationships. Trust me, I am making some money through the relationships I’ve built so my blog is serving it’s purpose. But he also goes into how you can benefit from consulting services or if you have your own product. And the design of your blog has a lot to do with it as well. Really key ingredients on how you can improve your blog or what to do if you are just starting out. Really some great tips so let me know what you think when you’re done.

Good luck with that course. Haven’t heard of that one but hope you do get more great tips from it.

Thanks Michael, appreciate your comment.

Thinking about making money on your blog the first thing that should come to your mind is adsense, you’ll need a gmail acount that has not been rejected for adsense before, then apply for adsense to be posted to your blog, let more people view your blog.
Don’t forget keyword, ther are very important if you want to make money in just few months. Thought i should add this, thnks for sharing.

That is a good point but there are some blogs, like mine, that don’t want adsense on them. There are other ways to make money from your blog which is what he goes through in his free course. It also has to be optimized for your keywords, you are definitely correct on that.

I found the course to be very interesting and as I change things around in the coming months I’ll be taking his advice on some of what he suggested.

Thanks again for your comment on this, always appreciated.

Even though almost every internet user knows that money can be earned from the blog, there are actually relatively low number who have been actually successful in that. So ideas from the experienced persons are really valuable for other so that they too can follow them. Thanks lot for the article

HI Adrienne, thanks so much for sharing.

As you know, we can all use tweaking and crimping here and there.

I don’t know if you’ve sensed it, but I’m really ready to step it up a bit. I have been quite satisfied with my results, but now I realize I feel to be flatlining a bit… and need to get a better show on the road … particularly come September when the kids are back in school.

I so appreciate you sharing this information. I am sure the ‘Blog Design Guy” appreciates it!

Hey Jayne,

His free course is really a good one and he gives you some really great tips on how you can monetize your site and for those that are new, how to set it up properly.

I know you are interested in venturing out and doing a few more things so will be anxious to hear what all you plan on doing. Hope you’ll be sharing once you have that all figured out. September will be here before you know it.

Glad you enjoyed this information if you sign up for his course, hope you find it helpful.

Hello,
Thank you for sharing about the brilliant person who give away free program that actually works. It is hard to believe in different promises these days and people who can find a diamond in the rough are truly blessed and in return recognized it as a gift or a blessing. Got to remember the seven 7 trial and sign up for it soon. Thanks.
Regards,
Ibyang

Hey Ibyang,

There are plenty of people online today that are willing to help others for free. Sure, we all have an agenda later on down the line but first there is plenty of valuable information that is shared all for free. So if that helps you and you don’t need any more help then that’s great. If so, then you will remember the person who helped you and hopefully you’d prefer working with them. I have no doubt J.D.’s course will teach you a few things even through just the 7 day trial that he offers. I’ll be eager to hear what you thought.

Always appreciate hearing from you. Thanks for stopping by today.

Thank you so much for sharing the info. I am new to the blogging scene and I sincerely plan on being here for a while. My blog is only a part of what I’m planning on doing but bringing in some extra cash from writing about the things that I value and love would be excellent. Thanks to you I’ve got some new ways to make my blog grow even more. Thank you!

I have no doubt that he will help you get everything set up properly. Please let me know what you think and would love to hear how everything is going for you.

Appreciate you stopping by today and make it a good one!

Google Adsense is right for some people but not others. You only make penny’s at any given time plus it takes people off your page so if you really want people to stay on your blog, adding Google Adsense is not the smartest move. But, J.D. goes over all of that in his free course. Hope you’ve given it a shot.

Thanks Nicolas, always a pleasure to hear from you.
