Affiliate Marketing is when you sell other people’s products and/or services. The owner, or merchant, of the product you have chosen to promote will provide you with a link which will track the buyers that you send through an affiliate marketing campaign you have created to their sites. Let me explain the process of how you can earn money with affiliate marketing.
Do your research:
Find what people are searching for. Most people online are searching for a solution to their problem. By finding out what their problems are, you can provide them with a solution. You can start by visiting sites such as “answers.yahoo.com”, “groups.google.com”, any “forums” on topics you are interested in, etc.
Find a product to promote:
Finding products through sites such as Clickbank, PayDotcom or Commission Junction is the best way to get started. After you have done your research, this is where you can find the products people are searching for. These sites will provide you with all the information pertaining to the product and how well it is converting.
Promote your product:
The most popular way to get targeted prospects to the sites you are promoting is through Pay Per Click (PPC). PPC is not for newbies though. There is a HUGE learning curve and it can be a very expensive lesson. PPC has broken many banks and it takes quite awhile to get in the profit zone.
Other forms of promoting your products can be through article marketing, Squidoo Lens, classified ads, blogging, backlinks, press releases, social networks, ezine ads, etc. There are so many different ways you can promote your products but it can be overwhelming when you are just starting out.
Affiliate marketing is a great place to start earning money but you need to learn the skills in order to have success. Doing the research and choosing the products are the easy parts. Thanks for the idea you have shared Adrienne, I didn’t know before that it is so much easy to gain income in affiliate marketing. by reading your post it shows that the most important part in affiliate marketing is branding to gain more audience or costumer. am I right?
