My name is Adrienne Smith and I’m a social media and blogging fanatic..  On this site you will find a wide variety of content, information, and tips when it comes to social media, online marketing, personal growth and development as well as many other topics that you will find helpful.  I’m very passionate when it comes to living my life to the fullest and I would be honored to help YOU as well.

This blog was designed to help empower and inspire you to live life to the fullest and to create the reality you truly want for yourself.

 

First, here is a little bit about me…

I grew up in a small town in Texas and am the middle child.  I struggled in school so I didn’t have enough confidence in myself that I could be anything I wanted to be.  I had a very difficult time interpreting what the text books said and when I was going to school, we didn’t have tutors or teachers that were willing to go that extra mile for their students.  My parents were very aware of my learning disability and knew I would have a very difficult time with college but were still upset when I chose not to attend.

I fell into the secretarial field where I worked my way up the corporate ladder.  For the past 20 years I worked for the presidents and owners of companies and succeeded mainly because of my organizational skills.  It certainly doesn’t hurt that I have a very outgoing and bubbly personality and am always the first one willing to help.  As you all also may have guessed, I’m a baby boomer.

The turn of events…

At the beginning of 2007 my company downsized so I made a conscious choice not to return to the corporate world.  I had become very discouraged with the lack of work ethic.  I had absolutely no idea what I was going to do but for some reason, I just knew this was the right thing for me.  I started learning more about personal development and realized that I had so much more potential than I ever gave myself credit for.

My introduction to the online industry…

So I headed to the internet because I felt I was smart enough to figure this all out.  What a rude awakening!  Everywhere I turned someone was trying to sell me the latest and greatest new system, program, product, service, you name it!   I was naive enough to think that these people actually had my best interests at heart.  Boy, what a huge wake up call.

During this time of trying to find my place online, I continued to work on myself and over time became more and more confident that this was where I belonged.  I was introduced to network marketing and really gave it my all.  I did exactly what I was taught which was to promote the company’s replicated websites.  If you’ve been online for any length of time, you know that just doesn’t work.

Over time I eventually started receiving the right kind of training which included social media marketing and blogging.  Unfortunately, closing people was still a major issue.  I was not introduced to 3-way calls until several years later and by the way, my upline left after four months after I joined.

My introduction to affiliate marketing…

As I was working my network marketing company, I was introduced to affiliate marketing.  I started learning more about how to promote other people’s products because let’s face it, entrepreneurs who are dedicated to starting their own business are going to need products and services.  Who better to introduce those to them than the people they know, like and trust!

I soon started making more money from affiliate marketing than in my network marketing business.  So I decided to jump head first into learning everything I could about how to have success selling other people’s products.

Where I am now…

I make a steady income online through affiliate marketing and eventually created my own product.  Like anything else online, it’s been an uphill climb but what I’ve learned the most is to never give up.  This may be a down economy at the moment which is why the internet is the best place to be.  People are stampeding to get online and figure this all out for themselves so that they too can learn how to be self sufficient without having to return to the corporate world.

And to add to the pile of my already growing list of money making adventures, I dove back into network marketing in April of 2011.  I felt I had a better chance of building a residual income from heading that direction instead of always having to create new products or build a training community.  I also learned a lot about myself and why I failed so miserably up to this point.  I know this is the best direction to go if you really would like a great life for you and your family.
